Final thickness, density, dimensions, surface finish and packing are confirmed against the selected production grade before order.

Product Overview
Dense outer skins for visible panels
PVC co-extruded foam board is produced through a multi-layer extrusion process. A denser outer layer combines with the foamed core to provide a smoother, harder surface while retaining the practical handling and processing benefits of PVC foam board. It is suitable for visible furniture and cabinet parts, decorative panels and selected signage applications.
Smoother outer surface
Designed for visible panels and components where surface appearance is important.
Rigid but lightweight
The foamed core reduces material weight while the outer skin contributes to surface hardness.
Versatile fabrication
Suitable for cutting, drilling, routing, CNC machining and engraving with grade-appropriate settings.

Select the board by thickness, density and application. The quotation specifies the agreed sheet size, tolerances, finish and packing.
Surface & Core Selection
Choose the surface first, then verify the component
Co-extruded board combines dense outer skins with a foamed core. The gloss or matte face, overall thickness and density are separate choices and should all appear in the order specification.
| Selection item | Options to discuss | Sample review |
|---|---|---|
| Gloss outer surface | For visible panels where a reflective face is part of the design | View the sample under the intended lighting and agree the required face appearance and handling protection. |
| Matte outer surface | For a less reflective visible face or a selected further finishing process | Confirm texture and appearance on the physical sample; test any printing or adhesive process separately. |
| Thin panel formats | Common 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm choices | Check panel size and support arrangement for decorative inserts, displays or other supported components. |
| Furniture formats | Common 15, 17 and 18 mm choices | Verify thickness and density with the cabinet drawing, hinge or connector and intended panel span. |
Minimum density is 0.55 g/cm³; common choices are 0.55, 0.60 and 0.65 g/cm³. Ask about other thicknesses or a specific machining requirement.
Visible Interior Panels
Furniture faces and cabinet components

Cabinet doors, sides and display furniture
Use the surface sample to agree the visible finish, then check the board thickness and density against the component design. Where hinges or connectors are fitted, review the hardware on the actual grade.
Decorative inserts and machined panels
For routed patterns, pockets or cut-outs, review both the outer face and the exposed core. A smooth face does not mean a cut edge will have the same finish, so plan any exposed-edge treatment.
For a decorative woodgrain or solid-color film, see the laminated board options and agree the base board separately.

Theoretical weights for common furniture sheets
These calculated values compare 1220 × 2440 mm sheets at the same nominal thickness. They exclude protective film and packaging.
| Thickness | 0.55 g/cm³ | 0.60 g/cm³ | 0.65 g/cm³ |
|---|---|---|---|
| 15 mm | 24.56 kg | 26.79 kg | 29.02 kg |
| 17 mm | 27.83 kg | 30.36 kg | 32.89 kg |
| 18 mm | 29.47 kg | 32.15 kg | 34.83 kg |
Formula: 2.9768 × thickness in mm × density in g/cm³. Actual sheet weights follow the agreed dimensional and density tolerances. This table is for handling and quotation comparisons, not structural design.
Fabrication Planning
Keep the face finish and machined detail consistent
Identify the visible face
Confirm which faces will be seen in the finished component. Agree any protective film before ordering and retain suitable surface protection during handling and fabrication.
Trial the cutting and routing
Cut a part with the intended toolpath. Inspect the surface next to the cut, the exposed core and the final dimensions, especially where grooves or pockets remove an outer skin.
Verify bonding or printing
For further surface treatment, trial the actual adhesive, coating or ink on the selected gloss or matte grade. The process should be approved on the sample rather than inferred from the product name.
Check the assembled fitting
Use the actual hinge, screw or connector where applicable. Review edge details and panel support with the fabricator before releasing a repeat cutting list.
Production & Export Support
Agree the order details before production
A clear specification makes quotations easier to compare and repeat orders easier to match. Use the following points when approving the sample and purchase order.
- Surface and face arrangement
- Confirm gloss or matte, visible faces and the agreed appearance sample.
- Density and thickness
- Record the selected density with the thickness; the same sheet size alone does not define the grade.
- Machined features
- Review cut edges, recesses, holes and connector fit on a representative component.
- Protection and packing
- Specify protective film if required and identify any finish-specific handling or packing needs.

Factory supply and sample review
SincePlast is the export showcase of Zibo Kaichuang Plastic Co., Ltd., a PVC foam board manufacturer in Zibo, Shandong. Discuss the sample specification before moving to a full order. Standard samples are free, with courier charges paid by the buyer; larger sample sizes can be discussed.
Packing, mixed loads and delivery
Standard plastic bag packing is included. Pallets and cartons cost extra; protective film is confirmed by agreement. Different sizes and thicknesses can be mixed in a full container. Typical base-board lead time is 7–15 days, with the final schedule confirmed for the specification and quantity.
Practical Buyer Questions
Frequently asked questions
Is co-extrusion the same as decorative lamination?
No. Co-extrusion forms the board with dense outer skins and a foamed core. Decorative lamination adds a selected surface film to an agreed substrate. Specify both processes if a laminated co-extruded board is required.
Can I order gloss and matte surfaces?
Both surface options can be discussed. Confirm the selected appearance, required faces and any protective film from a sample before the purchase order is finalized.
What is the minimum density?
The minimum is 0.55 g/cm³. Common options are 0.55, 0.60 and 0.65 g/cm³, selected together with thickness and application.
Will a routed recess look like the original face?
A routed recess can expose the foamed core below the outer skin. Test the actual detail if its appearance or function matters to the finished panel.
Can it be used as a laminated cabinet-board base?
A co-extruded substrate can be discussed for decorative lamination. Confirm the core density, thickness, face preparation and selected film as one combination.
